Coimbatore College of Pharmacy celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The celebration brought together students and faculty members to experience the rich cultural traditions and joy associated with the festival.

The programme featured a variety of traditional activities, including Pookalam decoration, traditional games, cultural performances, and other festive celebrations. Students actively participated in the events with great excitement and demonstrated their creativity, teamwork, and cultural spirit.

A Parents–Teachers Meeting was conducted at Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, Karumathampatti, Coimbatore on 22.08.2026. The meeting provided an opportunity for parents and teachers to interact and discuss the students’ academic performance, attendance, discipline, and overall progress.

Faculty members discussed the strengths and areas for improvement of the students with their parents. Parents actively participated in the discussion and provided valuable feedback and suggestions. The meeting concluded with a commitment from both parents and faculty members to work together for the academic and overall development of the students.

Coimbatore College of Pharmacy celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by Thiru. V. M. C. Chandrasekar, Former President, Kittampalayam Panchayat Union. The celebration reflected the values of patriotism, unity, and national responsibility. The gathering paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reaffirmed the commitment of the college community towards contributing to the progress and development of the nation.

The programme concluded with a strong sense of pride and patriotism, making the occasion a memorable celebration for the entire college community.

The students of Coimbatore College of Pharmacy actively participated in the Student Festival with great enthusiasm and interest. Students showcased their literary talents by participating in various events such as Poem Writing, Essay Writing, and Story Writing.

Their participation provided an excellent platform to express their creativity, imagination, writing skills, and ideas. The event encouraged students to develop their communication and literary abilities while fostering confidence and healthy competition.

Mr. Nagaraj B.Pharm Second Year, student of Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, secured the First Prize in the Story Writing Competition held as part of the Student Festival. His achievement reflects his creativity, imagination, and excellent writing skills. We congratulate Mr. Nagaraj on this outstanding accomplishment and wish him continued success in all his future endeavours.

World Hepatitis Day was celebrated on 28th July at Coimbatore College of Pharmacy to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and promote liver health. The program aimed to educate students and the public about the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of hepatitis

The event began with a welcome address, followed by an awareness lecture highlighting the causes, symptoms, modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the importance of hepatitis vaccination. Faculty members emphasized the significance of early screening and maintaining good hygiene to prevent the spread of the disease.

Pharmacy students actively participated in the celebration through presentations, health education activities. Informative pamphlets were distributed to increase public knowledge about hepatitis and its prevention. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, encouraging everyone to support the global effort to eliminate viral hepatitis and promote healthy lifestyles.

Coimbatore college of pharmacy organized a World Hypertension Day awareness program to promote the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring and healthy lifestyle practices among the public and students.

As part of the program, a free blood pressure screening camp was conducted at HDFC Bank for bank staff and the public. In addition, a free BP screening and awareness camp was also organized inside the college campus for students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff.

The initiative focused on creating awareness about hypertension, often referred to as the “silent killer,” and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, balanced diet, physical activity, stress management, and regular health checkups.

Faculty members, healthcare professionals, and student volunteers actively participated in the camp and provided guidance on preventive healthcare measures. The event received enthusiastic participation and successfully encouraged the community to adopt healthier lifestyle habits.

The program was organized to commemorate International Women’s Day (VIVID 26) and to inspire empowerment, confidence, and unity among students.

The celebration began with a warm welcome address, followed by motivating speeches highlighting the importance of women's empowerment in society and healthcare professions. Faculty members and students shared their thoughts on the role of women in shaping the future.

On the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy successfully conducted a special program to highlight the importance of pharmacy education and the role of pharmacists in healthcare.

The event included awareness activities, expert talks, student participation programs, and discussions on advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. Faculty members and students actively participated and emphasized the importance of ethical pharmacy practice, patient care, and innovations in the healthcare sector.

The program concluded with an encouragement to students to contribute towards the development of the pharmacy profession and public health services.

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm on Monday, 26th January 2026, in the college campus.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The occasion highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution and the values of unity, integrity, and democracy.

The celebration included a patriotic address, emphasizing the duties and responsibilities of citizens towards the nation. Students actively participated and expressed their love for the country through disciplined presence and respectful observance of the ceremony.

We celebrated Pongal events on 09.01.2026. The event honored the traditional harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, bringing together students and faculty to express gratitude, enjoy cultural performances, and share festive meals. To engage the student body, the celebration includes traditional games such as Uri Adithal (pot-breaking), tug-of-war, and rangoli competitions. These activities not only entertain but also revive the spirit of traditional village festivals.

The Pongal celebration was a memorable event that brought everyone together in the spirit of gratitude, joy, and cultural pride. The programme successfully highlighted the importance of traditional festivals in shaping ethical and cultural values among students.

Christmas Day with great joy and festive spirit on 23rd December at the college campus. The event was organized to spread the message of love, peace, unity, and goodwill among students, faculty members, and staff.

The celebration began with a prayer, invoking blessings and emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas. This was followed by melodious Christmas carols, which created a joyful and spiritual atmosphere. Students actively participated in various cultural programs, including songs and performances that reflected the values of sharing, kindness, and harmony.

Faculty members addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Christmas, reminding everyone of the importance of compassion, humility, and helping others in daily life. The active involvement of students and staff made the celebration lively and memorable. The program concluded with warm wishes and a message of togetherness, reinforcing the spirit of Christmas.

The program focused on enhancing safety preparedness within the campus and ensuring that everyone is equipped with the knowledge to act responsibly during fire-related emergencies.

The session helped improve awareness about fire safety protocols, encouraged a sense of responsibility among students, and strengthened the college’s commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment. Participants gained confidence in handling fire-related situations and learned the importance of staying calm and alert during emergencies

Coimbatore College of Pharmacy proudly announces the celebration of National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025, an annual national initiative aimed at highlighting the significant role of pharmacists in healthcare and community well-being. The theme for NPW 2025 is: “Pharmacists: The Bridge Between Science and Society in Vaccination Awareness.”

The event will be formally inaugurated by Dr. S. Mohan, Principal, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, who will address the gathering and initiate the NPW 2025 activities.

Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, organized Freshers’ Day 2025 for the B.Pharm students on 24th October 2025 at the college campus. The celebration was arranged to warmly welcome the new batch of budding pharmacists into the institution and to motivate them as they begin their professional journey. The program was presided over by Er. SHANMUGAM ( Managing Trustee).The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest – Dr. S. Kavimani, Central Council Member, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), who delivered an inspirational address highlighting the importance of the pharmacy profession, ethical responsibilities, and emerging opportunities in the healthcare sector.
